Objectives of this RFI:
The Transit Operations Branch (OC Transpo) of the Transportation Services Department of the City of Ottawa, is seeking information from qualified Suppliers with expertise and experience in the supply and installation of Operator Shields for transit bus vehicles.
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is:

To identify qualified suppliers interested in supplying operator shield products for testing that could meet the OC Transpo’s requirements for various make and model of transit bus vehicles.
To request information from the supplier community in order to refine the requirements, scope of work, work processes and specifications for the operator shield product test program.
To provide the supplier community with an opportunity to review the draft requirements, scope of work, work processes, and specifications, and to provide comments thereon.
To seek Vendor Information Sessions / meetings with suppliers with the ability to provide solutions for the work contemplated in this RFI.
To conduct in revenue service product tests on Suppliers’ proposed operator shield products on OC Transpo transits buses for approximately one (1) year.

Vendor Information Sessions:
The City is seeking meetings with organizations with the ability to provide solutions for the work contemplated in this RFI. The information exchanged during the meetings will assist the City in preparing for a procurement process.

Inquiry Period:
All inquiries regarding this RFI are to be directed to the Administrative Authority specified herein. Inquiries should be received in writing (e-mail) no later than Wednesday, 08 August 2018. All inquiries received, and the answers as provided by the Project Authority will be provided to all Respondents by way of written addenda without naming the source of the inquiry. Addenda may be issued throughout the period of the RFI, with the last addendum issued no later than, Friday, 10 August 2018.

Distribution of RFI Document:
The official copy of RFI and any Addenda issued pertaining to it RFI will ONLY be available from the Administrative Authority via emailed request to David.Baird@ottawa.ca.

Closing Date:
Submissions (email) to this RFI will be received by City prior to the end of business day on Tuesday, 14 August 2018.
