Qualified Contractors are hereby invited to submit a tender to undertake the FEC Standby Generator Project at the SAINT JOHN AIRPORT. Tenders, on supplied forms, will be received at the Saint John Airport Inc. (4180 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, NB, E2N 1L7, Canada) until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, October 29, 2019.
The work generally involves:

Supply and install a new outdoor 400kW, 500kVA, 3 phase, 4 wire, 600V diesel generator set on new reinforced concrete pad with integrated controller and sub base fuel tank;
Supply and install a 600V – 4160/2400V, 3-phase, outdoor padmount transformer;
Supply and install a 600A, 600V outdoor isolating disconnect switch;
Modifications to the existing generator controller and control panel in the existing 4160V transfer panel;
New generator set controller integration with existing control panel and airfield lighting control system for remote start and monitoring;
Associated underground and in building conduit and wiring installation;
Provision of temporary portable generators, electrical cabling and connections to minimize power interruptions; and
Disconnect and abandon in place the existing 400kW/500kVA, 4160V diesel genset

Plans, specifications and tender forms may be obtained by prospective bidders via Merx at www.merx.ca Tender documents are available as of Wednesday, October 7, 2020.
A Bid Bond, Certified Cheque, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit in the amount of 10% of the tender amount and an Agreement to Bond must accompany each Tender. The successful Tenderer will be required to provide a 50% Performance Bond and a 50% Labour and Material Payment Bond upon execution of the Contract.
