Description

ACCES offers several sector-specific programs to position Internationally Trained Professionals (ITPs) into commensurate employment that reflects the field in which they were trained or in a related field, without duplicating their existing skills and education. The goal is to support ITPs to successfully move into their profession in Canada at an accelerated pace.
The Engineering Connections: Workplace Essentials for Engineers/ELT is a 6-week program that supports internationally trained engineering professionals to enhance their English language level and overall communication skills in the Canadian and engineering sector context. This program also includes sector-specific workshops, employment preparation, and job search support, including various job search tools. We deliver 5 cohorts every year and each cohort consist of 120 teaching hours:

2 in our Mississauga office
2 in our North York office
1 in our Markham office

Currently this program is being delivered online, however when the in-person services resume, this program may be delivered as a hybrid model (in-person and/or online), therefore travel to ACCES Mississauga, North York and/or Markham may be required.
