Description

Winnipeg’s Maintenance Centre (WMC) is located at 569 Brandon Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The facility was built in 1989 and requires a replacement of most of its Roof Top Units. The following is a high-level itemized list of elements that will be incorporated into the scope of work:

Removal of eleven (11) existing rooftop Air Handling Units;
Removal of one (1) Condensing Unit;
Replacement of existing roof gas lines to suit new RTUs;
New roof openings to suit new RTUs;
Update of electrical components to suit new RTUs;
Update of control components to suit new RTUs;
Structural modifications to 2 support platforms; and
Structural framing of new openings.

While on the Railway property, it is required to wear safety hats, safety glasses, reflective apparel (safety vest) and safety boots in accordance with the Railway’s regulations as stated in “Safety Guidelines for Contractors.” The potential Tenderers must be present for the Safety Briefing prior to entering the VIA Right-of-Way.
