Description

The east area of the roof is an older ashpalt roof and gravel system. This part of the roof has exceeded its normal life expectancy. It is the plan of this project to replace the roof only on the east end of the building. The project scope is to remove the old roofing material and install a new torch on roof system as recommended.

Mandatory requirements

1/ Insurance
Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:

Commercial General Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$2,000,000]
All Risks insurance policy

Tenderer is requested to provide proof of meeting these insurance requirements by submitting a copy of their existing certificate in this Form of Tender.

2/ Site visit
The tenderer must sign the on site visit register .

3/Commitment to respect all requirements and specifications
The offer’s Tenderer is complying with VIA requirements published and the Tenderer commits to respect them during the entire project.

4/Experiences
The Tenderer must fulfill at least three similar projects in the ITT, part C, document #4.

General Contractor must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in roofing project.
Subcontractors must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in roofing project.

5/Date of completion of Work
The works must be substantially completed within 14 weeks upon the contract award date.
To show the date of end of works in your schedule including the key dates.

6/ Letter of Credit and bid bond or Bond Requirement

Bid Bond (10%)
Performance Bond (50%)
Material/Labour Bond (50%)

Provide a letter signed by an authorized representative of a recognized financial institution, stating that if the Tendered is awarded the contract they will issue a letter of credit for an amount equivalent to 50% of the value of the initial yearly contract fee and each subsequent contract year.
Bid Bond issued in favour or VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of the Surety

Or

(1) Bid Bond issued in favour or VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of the Surety
(2)& (3) Tenderer to provide VIA with a letter issued in favour or VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of the Surety stating that if the Tender is successful, insurance policies in accordance with the contract will be issued following contract award.
