201801002 - Toronto Maintenance Center - Waste Water Treatment Plant Upgrade

1/Insurances :
Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:

• Commercial General Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000] 
• Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$2,000,000]
• All Risks insurance policy 

Tenderer to provide proof of insurance or a letter issued in favour of VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of its insurance company stating that if the Tender is successful, insurance policies in accordance with the contract will be issued following contract award.

2/Bond Requirements or Letter of Credit

• (a)Bid Bond 10%
• (b)Performance Bond – 50%
• (c)Labour & Material PaymentBond – 50%

Provide a letter signed by an authorized representative of a recognized financial institution, stating that if the Tendered is awarded the contract they will issue a letter of credit for an amount equivalent to 50% of the value of the initial yearly contract fee and each subsequent contract year.

Or 

(a)Bid Bond issued in favour or VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of the Surety
(b)& (c) Tenderer to provide VIA with a letter issued in favour or VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of the Surety stating that if the Tender is successful, insurance policies in accordance with the contract will be issued following contract award.

4/Date of completion of Work
The works must be substantially completed within 30 weeks upon the targeted mobilization date.

5/Warranty services
Corrective maintenance services (parts and installation) under warranty must be provided on-site within 48hrs of a call issued by VIA.

6/Commitment to respect all requirements and specifications
By ticking the box, the Tenderer complies with VIA’s requirements published and the Tenderer commits to respect them during the entire project

7/ Experiences
(a) General Contractor must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar projects.
(b) The manufacturer and/or the installer and/or the specialized contractor must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in waste water treatment plant design and installation.

Tenderer must fulfill at least three similar projects in the ITT, part C, document #4.
