202001005 - Toronto Maintenance Center - Track M1 Pit covers

Subject matter: Supply and installation Track Pit Coverings for the M1W track section in the Maintenance Shop of Via Rail’s Toronto Maintenance Centre (TMC).


Mandatory requirements

1) Insurance
Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:

1. Commercial General Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
2. Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
3. All Risks insurance policy

Tenderer is requested to provide proof of meeting these insurance requirements by submitting a copy of their existing certificate in this Form of Tender.


2) Mandatory Site Visit
VIA Rail - Toronto Maintenance Center, February 19th, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. EASTERN
50 Drummond Street, Etobicoke - Ontario
 
Tenderer must sign the site visit register.

3) Experience
(a) General Contractor must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar project.
(b) Subcontractors must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil.
 

4) Date of completion of work
The works must be substantially completed within 6 weeks upon the contract award date after design acceptance.
The tenderer must show the date of end of works in the schedule including the key dates.


5) Commitment to respect all requirements and specifications
The Tenderer is complying with VIA requirements published and the Tenderer commits to respect them during the entire project duration.
