VIA Rail Canada Inc. requires transportation for train crews and passengers affected by a service disruption traveling in The Corridor between the cities of Quebec and Windsor in Ontario (Montreal-Quebec, Montreal-Ottawa, Toronto-Ottawa lines , Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto, Montreal-Toronto, Toronto-Windsor-London, Toronot-London-Sarnia, Toronto-Niagara-Falls, Belleville-Toronto-Kingston). This service is occasionally required in the event of an interruption in train services. VIA may award one or more contract per line and Supplier may submit a tender for one line or all lines or any combination of lines. The supplier may also be called upon to provide the service on 'standby' at a location and for a pre-determined period of time.
In order to submit a tender , the tenderer must comply with the following mandatory criterias:
1) The Tenderer confirms that his offer is compliant to government regulation in terms of procedures and good sanitary practices, ensuring the health and security of VIA employees during the contract duration.
2) The Tenderer must be available 24 hrs a day/ 7 days including an emergency telephone number which will be answered anytime.
3) Vehicle must be able to seat a minimum of 10 passengers.
