VIA Rail requires daily media monitoring reports in a timely fashion, including copies and transcriptions of news related to VIA Rail, as well as any other items identified by VIA as news to be monitored. All relevant medias in French and English language are to be covered:
•Canadian print media: all major Canadian newspapers networks (including the Globe and Mail, Postmedia, Metroland, …), trade journals, community newspapers and wire services. Must include media content behind paywalls
•Canadian television
•Canadian radio
•Canadian magazines
•Online media (blogs, news site, …)
•Foreign media (upon request)
•Social media conversations (upon request)
In order to submit a tender the tenderer must be able to comply with the following mandatory criteria:
- The Tenderer must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with Media Monitoring Services with English media.
- The Tenderer must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with Media Monitoring Services with French media.
- The Tenderer must be able to offer a 24/7 service in case of emergencies.
- The Tenderer must be able to provide all the services described in Part B, Appendix A in English and In French.
- The Tenderer must have access to Postmedia and Globe and Mail.
- The Tenderer must be able to provide an on-demand topic-specific media monitoring report within two calendar days.
