202204011 - Consulting services for low carbon transition plan

VIA Rail is requesting consulting services with solid expertise to guide and support the development (phase 1) and the implementation (phase 2) on a concrete and credible low-carbon transition plan for all its operations, aligned with science-based targets. The scope of work includes developing the transition plan, with supporting short, medium and long-term targets towards net-zero emissions by 2050, as well as identifying major gaps or costs. It also includes supporting the implementation of this plan through the deployment of concrete actions and strategies, on an on-call basis in the years following.

In order to submit a tender, the Tenderer must be able to comply with the following mandatory criteria:

• The Tenderer must have at least five (5) years of proven experience in the rail industry or other similar sector.
• The Tenderer must be able to start the services within one (1) week after the contract signature.
• The team lead must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience providing guidance and leadership regarding developing and implementing low carbon strategies.
