Description

VIA Rail Corporate Safety & Sustainability is looking for an experienced firm to perform internal audits (Internal Audit Services) to assess the level of implementation and compliance of the organization with the VIA Rail’s Safety Management System as well as its effectiveness at meeting the company’s objectives of achieving the highest level of safety in its railway operations.

Please note, a separate Invitation to Tender has been issued for the same type of service: #201707009 - Regulatory Compliance Internal Audit services

The Agreement shall extend over a 3 years initial period, starting in Q3 2017, and comprise of 1 additional option of 3 years.

In order to be eligible to present a Proposal, the Proponent must meet the following requirements:

INSURANCES:
Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:

Professional Liability Insurance of [$2,000,000]
Commercial General Liability Insurance of [$2,000,000]

LEAD AUDITOR:
The lead auditor must be the same person on each all sites.

EXPERIENCE:
The lead auditor must have, at least have 5 years of experience.

TIMELINE
Tenderer must respect the timeline, audit services have to start in Q3-Q4 2017. The final report could be sent to VIA during Q1 2018.

ACCREDITATION
Tenderer must be accredited by the Canada Standards Council.

BILINGUAL
Service must be provided in both languages; especially final reports and registers must be provided in both official languages.
