201908004 - Railway Infrastructure Engineering & Consulting Services

VIA would like to pre-qualify engineering firms.
The request for prequalification is to all interested railway engineering firms who wish to be considered as prequalified to undertake engineering design and consultation. Further, the intent is to establish approved firms with the necessary interest, expertise, capability, resources and who have demonstrated a proven performance in meeting requirements. 
 
 
1)           Insurance         
Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage

a)        Professional Liability Insurance of [$10,000,000]
b)        Commercial General Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
c)        Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]


Tenderer is required ti provide proof that its insurance requirements are satisfactory by sending a copy of their current certificate along with the Bid Form where they provide a letter or email from a company / insurance broker confirming that it will insure the Tenderer at the stipulated amount if a contract is awarded to the Tenderer.

3)           Permits and Business Registration         
Proponent must provide evidence that the Tenderer has the required permits, certifications and business registrations allowing it to perform the services in Canada.

 
4)           Licenses:
Proponent must provide requested documentation for Quebec and Ontario at a minimum.

 
5)           Experience  
Proponent must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in railway engineering services.

 
6)           Language
Proponent must be able to provide documentation in English.


7)           Class 4     
Proponent Experience in railways with speed up to 80 Km / h (Class 4) and above is required.

8)           Project "A" - Inspections
This criterion is only applicable for proponents submitting a proposal for Project “A”
Proponent must provide all requested services.
