Description

The goal of this project is to provide the Ottawa Train Station Equipment and Maintenance team with a single, dedicated office complex, work shop space and temperature regulated storage at a location West of the Train Station employee surface parking area. This project will include the necessary electrical, mechanical, architectural and civil services to support the full operational requirements of one (1) mobile office trailer, one (1) self-contained washroom trailer and four (4) shipping containers (of which all rental trailers and storage containers are supplied under a separate contract).

Mandatory requirements

1) Insurance
Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:

Commercial General Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$2,000,000]
All Risks insurance policy

Tenderer is requested to provide proof of meeting these insurance requirements by submitting a copy of their existing certificate in this Form of Tender.

2) Site Visit
Ottawa Station, February 28th, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. EASTERN
Ottawa Train Station - VIA Rail
200 Tremblay Rd, Ottawa ON K1G 3H

Meeting Point: At the main entrance next to the train model display.
Tenderer must sign the site visit register.

3) Experiences
(a) General Contractor must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar project.
(b) Subcontractors must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil.

4) Completion of the work
The work for Phase 1 must be substantially completed within 14 weeks following the contract award date.
Optional phase: The work for Phase 2 must be substantially completed within 35 weeks following the contract award date.

Tenderers must show the date of end of works in the proposed schedule including the key dates.

5) Commitment to respect all requirements and specifications
The Tenderer is complying with VIA requirements published and the Tenderer commits to respect them during the entire project.
