The Kingston station restauration and roof replacement project (201703010) consists in :
.1 Roof demolition / construction and engineer works;
.2 Renovation and rehabilitation of Kingston train station;
.3 Exterior re-painting;
.4 Tunnel works
To be eligible of tendering, the Tenderer must comply with the following mandatory requirements :
1. Insurances
Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:
-Commercial General Liability Insurance of [$10,000,000]
-Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
-All Risks insurance policy
Tenderer to provide proof of insurance or a letter issued in favour of VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of its insurance company stating that if the Tender is successful, insurance policies in accordance with the contract will be issued following contract award.
2.Bond Requirements or Letter of Credit
(a)Bid Bond 10%
(b)Performance Bond – 50%
(c)Labour & Material PaymentBond – 50%
Provide a letter signed by an authorized representative of a recognized financial institution, stating that if the Tendered is awarded the contract they will issue a letter of credit for an amount equivalent to 50% of the value of the initial yearly contract fee and each subsequent contract year.
Or
(a)Bid Bond issued in favour or VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of the Surety
(b)& (c) Tenderer to provide VIA with a letter issued in favour or VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of the Surety stating that if the Tender is successful, insurance policies in accordance with the contract will be issued following contract award.
3. Schedule
Work must be completed no later than August 31st 2017.To indicate the date in the Schedule
4.Site Visit
Date : Thursday April 26th at 10:30 AM

To meet at the lobby room
Tenderer must :
- To sign the Release of Liability Form
- To sign the Site Visit Register.
5. Project Manager and Supervisor experiences
The Project Manager and the Supervisor must have relevant experiences of a minimum of 5 years.
The Tenderer must provide the CV and references of the Project Manager and the Supervisor.
6. Agreement to respect the Specifications and Scope of work
The Tenderer must comply and approve all Specifications and Scope of work defined in Part B page 13.
