With the City of Kingston (City) entering the final phases of the John Counter Boulevard project (JCBP), VIA Rail Canada (VIA) plans to proceed with the complete redevelopment of its Eastern & Western parking areas. This has become necessary as the existing East exit will become inaccessible and the City is finalizing the construction of a roundabout as a new access to the VIA station. Kingston station is the fifth station in importance across Canada, and with the current number of parking stalls, it is often full.

Considering the situation with the Coronavirus, the site visit for the Invitation to Tender (ITT) of the Kingston station parking upgrade project is cancelled but will be replaced by a conference call on March 25, 2020, at 10h30am. All interested Contractors are invited to join by phone at 10h15am on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 for attendance purposes.

If some are not able to join by 10h25am, you must send an email to benoit_rivard@viarail.ca mentioning you cannot reach the call and request to attend an afternoon call on Wednesday, March 25, at 2h00pm. Your email request must come in before 11h00am on March 25, 2020, to be considered. Take note that these will be the only two ITT presentation call allowed for this tender.
