The general scope of work covers the supply and shipping of all labour, material, engineering, equipment and superintendence to undertake Track #4 Rehabilitation Work at VIA's Halifax Station:
- Replacement of approximately 938 cross-ties on a portion near the VIA station
In order to be able to submit a tender , the Tenderer must be able to comply with the following mandatory criteria:
1)Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:
a)Commercial General Liability Insurance of $25,000,000 per occurrence with a global policy aggregate of $50,000,000;
b)Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
c)All Risks insurance policy
2)Be present at the mandatory site visit on July 18th 2017 at 10:00 AM Atlantic Time at VIA's Halifax Station at 1161 Hollis Street, Halifax, NS, B3H 2P6 in front of the ticket office. Ask for Allan Gallant.

a)Bid Bond 10%
b)Performance Bond – 50%
c)Labour & Material Payment Bond – 50%
4)Tenderer must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in track construction and maintenance
5)Project manager must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management.
Site supervisor must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in track construction or maintenance.
6)All works must be completed no later than November 30th 2017.
