Description

Replacement of the Main Concourse roof, including roofing membrane, steel structure and decking, along with the replacement of the skylight. In addition, various interior station work such as the elevator upgrade, front and platform doors upgrade, installation of a new HVAC systems, concoure lighting, basement structural slab replacement and new basement mechanical room. Finally, exterior works such as parking lot and passenger platform asphalt replacement, new fencing and a new water station.

1/Insurance
Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:

Commercial General Liability Insurance of [15,000,000]
Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$2,000,000]
All Risks insurance policy of [15,000,000]

Tenderer to provide proof of insurance or a letter issued in favour of VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of its insurance company stating that if the Tender is successful, insurance policies in accordance with the contract will be issued following contract award

2/Bond Requirements or Letter of Credit
Provide a letter signed by an authorized representative of a recognized financial institution, stating that if the Tendered is awarded the contract they will issue a letter of credit for an amount equivalent to 50% of the value of the initial yearly contract fee and each subsequent contract year.

Performance Bond – 50%
Labour & Material Payment Bond – 50%

(a)Bid Bond issued in favour or VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of the Surety
(b)& (c) Tenderer to provide VIA with a letter issued in favour or VIA dated and signed by an authorized representative of the Surety stating that if the Tender is successful, insurance policies in accordance with the contract will be issued following contract award.

3/Site Visit
The tender must attend the site visit and sign the site visit register

To meet at the main concourse

4/Commitment to respect all requirements and specifications
The Tenderer commits to respect the requirements during the entire project.

5/Experiences
(a) General Contractor must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar projects.
(b) The sub trades and/or the installers and/or the specialized contractors must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar projects.

6/Substantial completion of work
The Tenderer commits to respect the following deadlines.

(a) Reroofing works and all works related shall be completed within 23 weeks upon the contract award date
(b) All works related to HVAC scope shall be completed within 42 weeks upon the contract award date
(c) All civil works including works related to the parking lot refurbishment shall be completed within 18 weeks upon the contract award date
(d) All works related to doors shall be completed within 23 weeks upon the contract award date
All works related to the basement slab shall be completed within 14 weeks upon the contract award date
