Description

Subject: This ITT define the Service Provider's obligations and responsibilities regarding the fire protection services (inspections) at VIA RAIL CANADA Stations and Maintenance Centres.
Tenderers may submit a tender for one or more region(s).VIA reserves the right to award contracts to different tenderers. Tenderers have to respond for all locations in their selected regions. A regional division is available in the Appendix A of this document.

Mandatory Criteria:

1)           Insurance
Proponent has the following minimal insurance coverage

a)        Commercial General Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
b)        Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]

Proponent is required ti provide proof that its insurance requirements are satisfactory by sending a copy of their current certificate along with the Bid Form where they provide a letter or email from a company / insurance broker confirming that it will insure the Tenderer at the stipulated amount if a contract is awarded to the Tenderer.

2)           Site visit
Proponent must be present at the site visit for all the location(s) for which a tender will be submitted. Please consult the document «Sites Visit Planning ».
Proponent must to respond on Mandatory Site Visit form and sign the site visit attendance sheet.

3)           24/7 service
Proponent must be available to perform services 24 hour per day, 7 days per week.

4)           Experience
Proponent must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Fire Protection services.

5)           Emergency response time
Proponent must have a maximum response time of two (2) hours for fire alarm and four (4) hours every other service from the time of an emergency call and being on VIA’s.

6)           Languages
Proponent must be able to provide the services in English or in French.

7)           Service Coverage
Proponent must be able to execute all the services described in Appendix A for the region(s) for which he will submit a proposal.
