The general scope of work covers the supply of all labour, material, engineering, equipment and superintendence to undertake Bridge Rehabilitation Work on the VIA 85.60 Chatham Subdivision. A second bridge at Mile 93.70 Chatham Subdivision will be an option only, to be confirmed.
The Work generally includes, but is not strictly limited to the following: Steel and concrete repairs with a span replacement for the bridges.
In order to be able to submit a tender the Tenderer must be able to comply with the following mandatory requirements:
1)Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:
a)Commercial General Liability Insurance of for a minimum amount of $25 000 000 combined limit per occurrence with a global policy aggregate of at least $50 000 000
b)Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
c)Contractor’s Pollution Liability of $10 000 000
d)All Risks insurance policy
2)The Tenderer must be present as the site visit on July 18th 2017 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time at the parking west of house address 525 Lakeview Dr (by First Street) Belle River, ON N0R 1A0. Group will then drive to the bridge site.

Bond Requirement as percentage of Contract Prices:
a)Bid Bond 10%
b)Performance Bond – 50%
c)Labour & Material Payment Bond – 50%
4)The work for Bridge Mile 85.6 Chatham including demobilization must be completed prior to December 31st 2017.
If option is executed:
The work for Bridge Mile 93.7 Chatham including demobilization must be completed prior to December 31st 2018.
6)Project manager must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in project management.
The site supervisor must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in structural steel bridge projects.
7)Provide written confirmation from the WSIB having jurisdiction over the location of the work certifying that the Tenderer is in good standing.
8)Tenderer must have access (rented or owned) to hi-rail mounted vehicles or cranes or barges with hydraulic lifts.
