VIA Rail Canada is offering and selling beers, depending of the class of service, on board all of its trains across Canada.
VIA is seeking producers capable of supplying various types of beers in one or several provinces. Products will be delivered in one or several of the following cities: Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver.
For National beers, the Agreement shall extend over a 3 years initial period, starting on October 1st, and comprise of 2 additional options of 1 year.
For local or microbreweries beers, the Agreement shall extend over a 6 month initial period, with option of renewal.
In order to be eligible to present a Proposal, the Proponent must meet the following requirements:
- Proponent has the following minimal insurance coverage:
- Commercial General Liability Insurance ($5,000,000.00) per occurrence
- Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of ($1,000,000.00) per occurrence
- Have the licenses required to the producing and selling of alcoholic beverages issued by the respective Control liquor/beer board of each province where commercial activities will take place
- All beers proposed must have a bilingual label
- The Proponent must have at least 1 year of experience in the production and distribution of beer
- Provide four (4) samples of each beer proposed
