Description

Subject : VIA Rail Canada Inc.'s fleet consists of 54 registered motor vehicles. The types of vehicles range from 10-ton to 15-ton trucks, to small cars and includes specially equipped vehicles for the VIA police. The vehicles are used in various regions between Eastern and Western Canada and the total number of vehicles within the fleet may increase or decrease during the term of the resulting agreement.

VIA Rail Canada Inc requires the services of a Fleet Management Company, that will understand their transportation requirements. The Service provider will be required to provide guidance and knowledge to suggest improvements to VIA’s corporate fleet that will allow for improvement in productivity, reduce operational costs and for the maintenance program for the vehicles. The service provider will manage the operational requirements of the fleet and ensure that VIA’s options are always aligned to the government policies regarding emissions, Green Vehicles Opportunities and that VIA is made aware of the new technology trends in the market.

Mandatory criteria :

1) Insurance
Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:

             a) Professional Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
             b) Technology, Errors and Omission Insurance of [$5,000,000]
             c) Commercial General Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000]
             d) Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$1,000,000]
             e) All Risks insurance policy

Tenderer is requested to provide proof of meeting these insurance requirements by submitting a copy of their existing certificate in this Form of Tender.
