Description

VIA is looking for Track Maintenance service providers for specific geographical regions. The Proponents must familiarize themselves with the particularities of each type of work as described in the Scope of Work document and decide whether they would like to submit a proposal for either Category A or Category B, either for both work types for the regions of interest.
The Category A work type includes the Routine Maintenance (Track and Right-Of-Way), and the Category B work type includes the Track Maintenance Program, as described in the RFP documents.
Since the evaluation will be based on the best results for the quoted regions (a mix of qualitative and quantitative criteria as described in the form of the RFP), VIA intends to enter into one or multiple agreements with the awarded vendors.
For the Category B, VIA intends to establish contracts with suppliers for all three (3) geographical regions. The award is based on the following:
- one preferred supplier per regional rail territory
- one or two vendors as alternative suppliers
The qualification process in this RFP for Category B applies to railway track maintenance programmed works for VIA and excludes new construction projects.
