Description

VIA Rail's current locomotive engines require 15W30 oil and are fueled in the Maintenance and Routine Maintenance sections by maintenance crews. The 15W30 oil is not compatible with the 15W40 oil required for the new Siemens locomotives. VIA Rail needs to implement a new 15W30 oil supply system that will use an abandoned oil tank. The work will take place primarily in the routine maintenance section and oil room at the Montreal Maintenance Center, located at 201 Ash Street, in the southwest part of the island of Montreal.
In order to submit a Tender, the Tenderer must comply with the following mandatory criteria:

Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:

Commercial General Liability Insurance of $5,000,000
Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of $2,000,000
All Risks insurance

2. Tenderer must be at the mandatory site visit as indicated in this ITT.
3. Bid Bond (10%)
4. Performance Bond (50%) and Material/Labour Bond (50%)
5. General Contractor must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience. Subcontractors must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in their related expertise of work.
6. Tenderer confirms his Tender complies with all requirements, specifications and commits to respect them during the entire project duration.
7. Tenderer commits to respect Contractor Safety Guidelines of VIA.
