DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
The University is conducting an RFP for Survey of Muslims in Canada Sample Design and Data Collection
The Survey of Muslims in Canada is a project in partnership with national and local stakeholder organizations with keen interests in understanding the Canadian demographics of Muslims, and the social context in which they live. The survey project will be led by an academic team of researchers at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Islamic Studies. This survey is innovative in that it is designed to center on the lived experiences of Muslims in Canada, at a time when we are also witnessing increased political and public concern with the rise of hate across the country, including Islamophobia. The survey will include questions on sociodemographic characteristics, social experiences, religiosity, attitudes and behaviors, and everyday life. Most questions will provide respondents with mutually exclusive response categories (e.g., Likert scale questions). However, some questions will be open-ended, and some questions will include an “other” category for respondents to specify additional responses. The Proponent will be responsible for collecting and coding open-ended responses. The Proponent will also create the coding schemes, subject to review by the research team.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.
