The Publisher will produce and publish four times per year the Canadian Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education journal (the "Journal”) in print and electronic form. The Publisher will be responsible for the production, distribution, subscriptions, advertising and publishing the Journal. The contract length will be for five (5) years, with an option in favour of the University to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of up to five (5) additional terms of one (1) year each. The Publisher will publish its first issue as Volume 18, Number 1—this issue will be published no later than the end of March 2018. The Publisher will agree to work within an annual target of 384 to 528 pages, with a range of 96 to 132 pages per issue, though, by mutual agreement, the occasional special issue may exceed the 132-page limit.
OISE shall own and have entire control of the title and the subscription lists to the Journal, copyright in all material published in the Journal, all issues produced of the Journal, and all electronic files created by the Publishers for the electronic edition of the Journal. The Publisher shall register each issue of the Journal for copyright in the name of the Institute with the United States Copyright Office.
OISE shall grant the Publisher the exclusive right to publish the Journal for the length of the contract. The Journal shall be made available online to libraries through the Publishers’ ongoing electronic publishing programs.
