Description:
The University of Toronto (the “University”) has a requirement for a NovaSeq6000 High-Throughput NGS Instrument.
The purpose of this Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to signal the University’s intention to award a contract for the above-noted goods and/or services to the following pre-selected supplier:

Prior to awarding this contract, the University is providing other potential suppliers with the opportunity to demonstrate that they are capable of satisfying the requirements as per this ACAN, by submitting a Statement of Capabilities during the posting period.
Justification:
Today, more than 90% of the world’s sequencing data are generated by proprietary Illumina SBS chemistry. The recently released high-throughput instrument in Illumina’s fleet is the scalable Illumina NovaSeq6000. Currently, the NovaSeq6000 is the only instrument on the market with the kind of high-throughput capabilities required for the volume of research we support.
