Description:
This negotiated Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by Facilities and Services on behalf of The Governing Council of the University of Toronto (the “University”) to prospective Proponents to submit Proposals for the provision of Garbage Removal Services, as further described in the RFP.
The University requires a contractor to provide garbage removal services in more than 70 locations across the St. George Campus located in downtown Toronto and selected off campus locations. The services will include the pickup of garbage and transporting them to authorized garbage disposal facilities.
The Successful Proponent will provide all necessary labour, materials, fuel, machinery, vehicles, equipment, tools and supplies so that the required services are carried out expeditiously, satisfactorily and professionally.
The required services will be carried out using various types of vehicles depending on availability and access of space, volume of garbage produced, type of garbage containers available, pickup schedule, etc. as follows:
1. Front end loaders
2. Rear end loaders
3. Roll-offs
4. Compactor

Delivery Date: Starting around January 2018
Duration of Agreement:
The term of the agreement is to be for a period of five (5) years, with an option in favour of the University to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for three (3) additional one-year terms.

At the end of the evaluation process, the University of Toronto may identify one or more suppliers with whom it wishes to enter into negotiations, by written notification.
