DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
The University is conducting an RFP for Electronic Medical Record System

Electronic Medical Record Project Goals and Expectations

The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system is intended to provide electronic medical / health care records and related information for all the professionals and related support personnel involved in the sport medicine service, at all its locations of operation (in clinics, at athletic venues, including while travelling with teams or athletes).
The system should give continuous (24 hour, retrieved information updated in real time), comprehensive information across all aspects, departments, and divisions of the enterprise.
The system should not have any limits on the number of venues at which services can be rendered, the number of workstations on which records can be accessed, or on the numbers of patients, professionals, or support staff.
The system should allow billing and reconciliation of OHIP and 3rd party invoices, lab/report management, drug interface, faxing, and statistical reporting on our patient population as well as sport.
Proponents should provide the EMR system via a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.
The information systems to be interfaced or from which certain information is to be imported into the Electronic Medical Record are:
- UTORAble – this is an electronic repository of information on faculty, staff and students at the University of Toronto and can be made available via API call or through a batched download process. Please provide details in your technical submission of the ability of the EMR system to periodically import or reference in real-time external data sources
  - The EMR would be required to import the unique identifier which would be the student number. Also, surname, first name and date of birth would be additional fields of interest.
- The ability for patients to book, manage and view information about appointments and other aspects of their EMR record via a web browser, and providing patient appointment reminders via email and/or SMS.

The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Submissions must be submitted electronically at https://utoronto.bonfirehub.ca/ on or before Monday, June 05, 2023 (2:00 PM local time). The submissions will not be opened publicly.
