This RFP is an invitation by the Faculty, Residential & Student Family Housing on behalf of The Governing Council of the University of Toronto (the “University”) to prospective Proponents to submit Proposals for the provision of Consulting Services for University Housing Planning, St. George Campus.
The Successful Proponent will undertake a comprehensive strategic review of the University's housing program which refers to St. George campus operations that provide rental housing for members of the university community who are not single students. Currently, these include student families, new faculty, long-term tenants, and visiting faculty.
There are two neighbourhoods in which this housing is currently provided: a high-rise neighbourhood at Charles Street and Yonge (buildings owned by the University), and a low-rise neighbourhood at Huron and Sussex (majority of buildings owned by the University, with some private residential and institutional ownership).
The primary focus of the planning study is to develop strategic goals to guide future growth that supports stable and successful communities within this unique housing portfolio.
The Successful Proponent will perform the following:
1. Site visits to concerned neighborhoods
2. Consultation with resident and campus
3. Community meetings
4. Stakeholder meetings
5. Planning meetings
6. Review of relevant materials and legislations
7. Project management
8. Provision of the required report and necessary revisions
9. Presentation of the report
It is anticipated that the agreement will be executed on or around May 2017.
