This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by SciNet on behalf of The Governing Council of the University of Toronto (the “University”) to prospective Proponents to submit Proposals for the provision of a large “capability”-type compute system (referred to as “LP” for “large-parallel”) intended primarily for running large-scale simulations and data-intensive workloads., as further described in Part 2 – The Deliverables (the “Deliverables”).

Event Note

There will be a mandatory site visit for this RFP on Tuesday, March 14th for approximately the entire day. The site visit will begin at 10am until 12pm at the SciNet Data Centre, located at:

The site visit will then move to the UofT St. George campus from 2pm until 4pm at:

Proponents wishing to attend the Mandatory Site Visit should RSVP with the Procurement Contact by Friday, March 10th at 11:59 p.m. (Local time). Please email the University Contact with the names and titles of the individuals that will be attending.

If a Proponent does not attend the Mandatory Site Visit, their Proposal submission to this RFP will not be considered further for evaluation.

The RFP timetable is tentative only, and may be changed by the University at any time.
