DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
This Request for Tender (“RFT”) is an invitation by Facilities Management and Planning, at the University of Toronto Mississauga (“UTM”) on behalf of The Governing Council of the University of Toronto (the “University”) to prospective bidders to submit Tenders for the provision of DV Dean’s Office Reno in the Third Floor of W G Davis Building in UTM Campus at 3359 Mississauga Road, Mississauga.
 
The procurement is not anticipated to involve negotiation.  An electronic auction is not anticipated.  
 
ADDRESS AND FINAL DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS
Submissions must be submitted electronically at https://utoronto.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/19318 on or before 13 December, 2018 @ 2:00:00 PM local time.
 
The submissions will not be opened publicly.
 
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
The procurement is subject to the following conditions for participation:

1. Mandatory Site Visit – 28 November, 2018 @ 11:30 AM Eastern Time.  Meeting Location: Meet at UTM W.G. Davis Building Main Entrance Level next to Tim Hortons -  William G. Davis Building, University of Toronto Mississauga Campus, 3359 Mississauga Rd., Mississauga, ONT, L5L 1C6. http://map.utoronto.ca/utm/building/313.   The site visit is intended for bidders to carefully examine the site and note the conditions affecting the work prior to the Tender submission. Bidders are encouraged to invite sub-contractors. Alternative date will not be provided for the Site Visit.
2. Insurance Certificate re: $5M General Liability and $5M Automotive (Umbrella)
3. WSIB Certificate of Clearance
4. 5% Bid Bond and Surety re: 50% Performance Bond, 50% Labour and Material Bond
5. Conform with all GENERAL LABOUR CONDITIONS outlined in Appendix A, and CCDC2-2008 Stipulated Price Contract, and University of Toronto Mississauga Amendments to CCDC2 – 2008 Supplementary Conditions Agreement, Definitions and Supplementary Conditions dated August 2014.

• All Shop Drawings and Submittals (first submission) to be submitted to UTM / Consultants within one week of contract being awarded;
• Construction Schedule to be submitted to UTM / Consultants by Monday, December 17th;
• Construction kick off- 17 December , 2018 10:00AM
• Earliest Start Date for Demolition work – Friday, December 21st at 5:00pm (TBD);
• All demolition work and floor prep work for new flooring to be completed by end of Sunday, January 6th;
• Substantial Completion – Construction – February 15th 2019 (TBD);
• Fixed Furniture Installation – week of February 11th, 2019 (TBD with Furniture Vendor);
• Client move in-  February 20, 2019
