PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists of interior renovations to accommodate a new computer lab, supporting office space and minor renovations. The work includes an interior renovation of approximately 1,920SF on the first floor of the Engineering 2 Building. The renovations will generally include asbestos abatement, mechanical, electrical and interior finishes.
The work is identified as uWaterloo – WR#50155 - Systems Design Engineering Space Renovation prepared by the Consultant, David Carter Architects Inc.
Contractors are invited to bid provided they demonstrate that they are currently on a Vendor of Record list for any Post-secondary Education Institution or Publicly Funded School Board for projects over $1M in construction value (excl HST). General Contractors to provide a completed CCDC 11 –2016 form listing a minimum of three projects with similar complexity and scope. Bidders shall provide a WSIB CAD 7 certificate indicating injury statistics for the last 5 years. References and Health and Safety Program details will be requested from the shortlisted bidders. The successful bidder will be required to be in good standing with ISN prior to commencing the work.
Contractor shall review and plan all utility shut downs with University of Waterloo Plant Operations and maintain firewatch where required. Form of agreement shall be the CCDC2 -2008 edition complete with Owner Supplementary Conditions.
