Description

The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to award up to a 3-year service contract with an optional 3 x 1-year extension with Coursera.
Coursera is the sole provider of more than 6,300 courses, virtual labs, and professional certificates. These specific courses are authoured by world-class university academics and industry partners. Courses are taught by the affiliated academic institution or in the case of industry credential courses, instructors certified by the affiliated organization (such as IBM Microsoft, SAP, Google, etc.). Students who take courses through Coursera can get professional certifications through affiliated companies that help incorporate them into their work skills.

It is UCalgary understanding that Coursera is the only online learning platform that can provide access to these specific certification courses designed with industry-leading companies, taught by verified instructors and is being used with other Canadian institutions. Coursera is the only supplier of a learning platform that meets UCalgary’s requirements for Continuing Education Learners.
