The University of Calgary (UCalgary) is requesting proposals for a Multiple Collector Inductively Coupled Mass Spectrometer (MC-ICP-MS). The MC-ICP-MS System must consist of, but not be limited to, the following major components, complete with all software, hardware, peripherals and interfacing necessary to make a fully integrated system, including a computer system and software, a data processing system, a liquid introduction system (autosampler, nebulizer, spray chamber and torch), an ICP ion source, and ICP-MS interface, ion and energy focusing, mass analyzer, a multiple detector, a vacuum system, a water chiller, all connections to the instrument, system implementation and training, service and support, system performance specifications.
All equipment must be NEW. Demo models, used, refurbished or prototype models will not be acceptable. Proponents must state in proposal system is new.
The space for equipment is currently under renovations. UCalgary will award RFP and dispatch purchase order to the successful Proponent prior to renovation completion, however, UCalgary will not accept delivery of equipment before renovations are completed. Current estimation for completion is September 2022 or later.
Proponent(s) must clearly state in bid response:
YES - if successful proponent, after UCalgary purchase order dispatch agree to hold off shipping equipment. Goods will not be shipped until UCalgary advises delivery date.
or
NO - if successful proponent, cannot agree to hold shipment to meet UCalgary’s delayed delivery request, after UCalgary purchase order dispatch.
