Description

The University of Calgary intends to purchase 4 Neurocatch Platform Packages, Version NCP2 from Health Tech Connex Inc. The NeuroCatch® Platform is intended for the elicitation, acquisition, analysis, storage, reporting, and management of electroencephalograph (EEG) and event-related potential (ERP) information to aid in the diagnosis of a patient. It is intended to be operated on, and the report is interpreted by a clinical specialist. It is intended to be used in a professional healthcare facility environment.

The Neurocatch System detects Evoked Related Potentials, which measure changes in brain electrical activity. It is the only device on the market that almost completely eliminates timing error, therefore providing the high precision required to sensitively detect subtle but significant clinical changes in the brain. This is relevant for multiple neuroscience research studies being conducted at the University of Calgary.
