West Campus Development Trust (The Trust) is responsible for one of Canada’s largest urban redevelopment projects - University District - an emerging 200-acre master planned community on University of Calgary endowment land. With 7,300,000 sq. ft. of residential housing, 1,500,000 sq. ft. of office space, and 300,000 sq. ft. of retail – University District sets a new bar with a community vision that has captured the hearts and minds of Calgarians.
The current momentum has led to our next step, the release of a document which consists of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for an office parcel and Expression of Interest (EOI) for the remaining commercial office blocks in University District.
Part 1: Request for Proposals - Commercial Office Development Site for Long-Term Lease Block 26
Block 26 is a 2.02 acre (0.82 ha) which is the first office development site in University District. Located in the northern neighbourhood of University District, the Block is adjacent to the Children’s hospital.
The highest rated Proponent selected through the RFP will have the opportunity to be a developer for Block 26 and enter into a long-term lease for the project site.
Part 2: Expression of Interest - Development Partner for Commercial Office
Through an EOI the Trust is also seeking a development partner for the remaining office development sites in University District.
The Trust is requesting execution of a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to the release of the RFP and EOI document. The NDA is attached to this notice and once executed should be emailed to procurement@wcdt.ca
