Currently the ILC offers over 100 courses. TVO is currently converting many of these courses from a print to online format. This project includes writing a number of courses from scratch including these course codes:
FRA1D, FRA1P, FRA2D
FRA2P
FRA3U, FRA3C, FRA3E
FRA4U, FRA4C, FRA4E
EAE1D
CCL4O
Two Ontario Certified teachers are needed to write these courses. A specific breakdown of work can be found in the project schedule. Applicants should apply to this RFP and be prepared to be assigned either set if successful.
Individual teachers working on this project will be able to dedicate full time effort, applying specific expertise in this secondary course content. Applicants should be fully bilingual in written and spoken French and English. Experience teaching and writing for an online format is ideal.
Each course is 110 hours of study, sectioned into 4 units of 5 lessons each. Courses will adhere to the curriculum laid out by the Ontario Ministry of Education and reflect best practice in instruction and pedagogy. Each course also weaves in content that reflects Indigenous perspectives from Ontario and Canada.
The course development process begins with an experienced and passionate teacher writing the content for the course and then working with an Instructional Designer to ensure the material can be delivered in an online and print format. The provision of this content provides the foundation for the rest of the course development.
