Description

The purpose of this Request for Expression of Interest (RFEI) is to identify potential opportunities for re-using, re-purposing, refurbishing, or upcycling fully decommissioned TTC buses as a viable option over disposal solutions. TTC is looking to enable a portion of decommissioned buses with End-of-Life-Vehicle (ELV) Solutions as additional alternative options to disposal solutions.
Interested participants would hold financial and technical responsibility for all independent projects.
The TTC encourages the submission of solutions that have a positive impact on the environment and community. This RFEI will allow the TTC to better prepare for a wider process of bus reuse and disposal in future years, assess the feasibility of providing decommissioned assets for second life usage, and ultimately reduce the environmental impact.
This RFEI is issued solely for information, research, and planning purpose. TTC is not seeking pricing at this time.
