Removal and Installation of FIDs and BIDs at T-1 and T-3

TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The GTAA requires a contractor for the removal of Flight Information Display System (FIDs) and Baggage Information Display System (BIDs) and installation of new ones and includes the following major items of work:
T3 Arrivals FIDs (International and Domestic)
The scope of work for this project includes removal of existing FIDs and installation of new FIDs.
T3 Baggage Claim Halls (International and Domestic)
The scope of work for this project includes removal of existing BIDs and installation of new BIDs.
T1 Transborder & Hammerhead F FIDS
The scope of work for this project includes installation of new FIDs.
**GTAA NOTICE**
As a part of ensuring that contractors perform their work in accordance with GTAA safety requirements, applicable legislation, and good industry practices, contractors are required to meet the GTAA established levels of safety competence and compliance by successfully completing the Application for Safety Pre-Qualification. For expediency, it is recommended that bidders make their Safety Pre-Qualification submissions prior to their Proposal Submission.

The GTAA will require all contractors to be Certificate of Recognition (COR) certified.
If a Contractor is not certified they will demonstrate that they are actively pursuing certification by providing a “Letter of Status” from IHSA, as an alternative to full certification in the interim.
This will be a requirement for all contractors bidding on jobs at the GTAA to have applied for, or already have. By achieving COR, the contractor demonstrates their health and safety management system has been developed, implemented, and evaluated on an annual basis through comprehensive internal and external audits and checks.
