MANAGEMENT OF SPENT AIRCRAFT DEICING FLUID AND STORMWATER AT TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - CENTRAL DEICING FACILITY

The SADF is managed at Toronto Pearson depending on the concentration of glycol as follows:
• Compliant - Under 100 ppm glycol can be released to storm providing no other obvious contamination (such as fuel)
• Low concentrate SADF - Over 100ppm and less than 3% - is sent to the sanitary system under surcharge agreements with the Region of Peel and the City of Toronto
• High Concentrate SADF - Over 3% concentrated on site to 50% for resale into secondary markets.

Note: This EOI is for the volume management, testing and streaming of SADF at the CDF only and does not include fluid processing or recycling.
