In furtherance of the GTAA’s vision to become the best airport in the world, the GTAA has
determined that an essential component of achieving that vision is to ensure that a world class,
best‐in‐class ground handling operation is provided by the best performing ground handling
companies in the world. By this, the GTAA means that ground handling operations at the Airport shall be provided by operators who can manage and deliver a safe, secure, highly efficient,
consistent and customer‐oriented ground handling operation, in a sustainable manner by
optimizing returns on employable assets. The enhancement and maintenance of service quality
of the Airport’s ground handling is operation is a strategic goal that the GTAA considers to be
essential to achieve its mission. The GTAA therefore intends to:
 Offer licenses to companies offering BTW airline ground handling services at the best
international standards;
 Encourage BTW ground handling licensees to execute their operations and conduct their
businesses in a manner that fosters long‐term quality, efficiency and innovation in ground
handling services at the Airport;
 Ensure safe and efficient BTW ground handling operations and facilitate smooth
coordination between the GTAA and different airport service providers; and
 Deliver BTW ground handling services with a complete focus on customer satisfaction
and the quality of the overall airport experience to the passenger, with BTW ground
handling services playing a critical role.
