Design Consultant Services
AT
TORONTO PEARSON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
 
The GTAA requires a Consultant to provide management and administrative Services, professional architectural and engineering Services, and all related technical Services and studies required for the design and the construction of all facilities, services, systems, equipment, amenities, etc., for the construction Work.
 
In general, the scope of Services to be provided by the Consultant can be categorized as follows:

1. Project Management – Design and Construction
2. Design management and coordination;
3. Validation of existing gate Concepts;
4. Preliminary design;
5. Detailed design;
6. Application for Facilities Alteration Permit (“FAP”) from the CCO;
7. Preparation of tender and construction documents, including all Specifications;
8. Tender phase activities, including review, evaluation and recommendation of bids;
9. Resident Site Services during construction;
10. Occupancy review and life safety demonstration and witness to AHJ; and
11. Other Work as required.Without necessarily limiting the scope of Services described herein, the technical expertise and skills that shall be supplied by the Consultant in fulfilling the design and implementation requirements of the Services shall include the following as a minimum:
    Architectural and Interior design;

1. Structural engineering;
2. Mechanical engineering;
3. Electrical engineering;
4. Civil engineering;
5. Apron and Airside Services engineering;
6. Passenger Boarding Bridges and Gate Equipment
7. IT/communications systems engineering;
8. Security systems design
9. Signage and Wayfinding design;
10. Code compliance; and
11. Other Work as required.
