19-010 - Haematology Equipment

TBRHSC is currently in search of two (2) automated Haematology analyzers, one (1) slide-maker-stainer and one (1) digital morphology system for its Haematology Laboratory. Our clientele is diverse, ranging from General Medicine and Surgery, Neonatal intensive care, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, and In patient Oncology. We also service a large regional Cancer centre.

Because of the nature of our business and our isolated location in respect to field service availability, it is imperative that we have analyzers that will provide us with accurate and timely results with minimal down time. Along with that we are looking for replacement analyzers that provide reliable first pass efficiencies and a low rate of manual smear reviews. Our intention is to streamline our manual processes, narrow the margin of error and reduce overall turn around time.

The TBRHSC’s Laboratory strives to support programs & services in caring for our unique Northwestern Ontario population (catchment area, approximately 250,000). 

The Clinical Laboratories Department services our 386 bed acute care facility supplying services to Emergency, Surgery, Trauma, Women & Children, Renal, Cancer Care, Intensive Care, Vascular Cardiology, Medicine and a future Cardiac Surgery Program.
