Surrey Place Centre’s North Office programs and services have been at their current location (245 Sheppard Avenue West, Toronto,) since November 2005. Although this site was initially suitable for our programs and services, a number of factors (i.e. accessibility limitations, expansion of our autism and developmental services and programs and greater space needs for our adult and desired community partnership activities, etc.) have necessitated the consideration of alternative options.
After careful evaluation, SPC determined that 2 Champagne Drive or the is the most appropriate site to meet the needs of current and potential future programs and services. All North Office staff, programs and services will be relocated to the Champagne Centre in April 2017.
This relocation has necessitated the need for new furniture in the North Office. The areas which require furniture include 6 program rooms, 6 Shared offices, a drop-in office, large staff office for 24 individuals, 4 assessment/treatment rooms, lunchroom, boardroom and reception area.
Note: While the original RFP was meant to address furniture needs at our 2 Champagne Drive site, SPC may be expanding furniture roll out to identifiable needs at 3 other office sites in the Toronto region. While the volumes at these sites will not be as significant as those at the 2 Champagne Drive site, they will address approximately 12 classrooms, 6 meeting rooms, 3 reception areas and 2 group staff work spaces.
