The furniture is for a new Collaborative Research Institute; A dynamic hub where academia, research, government, and industry meet and collaborate. The space will have a few enclosed offices, but will other wise be open spaces with clusters of furniture that can be moved as need for casual/guest workers, presentations, etc. The Institute will be housed at Simon Fraser University, Central City Tower, room PL 295, 13450 -102 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3T 0A3.
Attachment 1 – Partition Plan shows the building/room partitions. The room building finishes are neutral (see Attachment 3 – Finishes Board & Finishes Legend), so the furniture should add colour and personality to the space.
Attachment 2 - Sample Furniture Layout shows an example of how your proposed furniture could be arranged. The furniture should be durable, bring the space alive with colour and personality, and have flexible functionality and movability for room reconfiguration. The locker design and colour should also be vibrant, if possible.
The total maximum budget is $230,000 CAD + tax, inclusive of delivery, assembly, and installation. ***Bids above this amount will be disqualified ***
