Description

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of SWIFT CURRENT SWITCHING STATION EROSION REPAIRS, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”).

SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.

The Contractor shall supply all labour, material, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary to complete the repair and remediation of erosion at the Swift Current Switching Station. Scope includes the supply and installation of base gravel, geotextile fabrics, concrete, and the installation of SaskPower supplied cable trench. There may be requirements for repair of the grounding grid that is exposed during excavation.

In addition, the scope includes the excavation of the material above and underneath the culvert, salvaging the culvert, rebuilding the structure under the culvert, installation of the salvaged culvert, rebuilding the structure above the culvert, and installation of rip rap in the secondary access road into the Switching Station.

Confirmation of the number of attendees is required to be sent to the RFP Contact no later than July 11, 2024, 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. If confirmation of attendance is not received by the RFP Contact on or before this date and time, attendees may not be allowed on site.

PPE is required including CSA approved hi-vis clothing, safety glasses, hard hat, and safety footwear. Confirmed attendees will be advised of any additional requirements they must comply with to access the site.
