This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Owner Engineer and Subject Matter Expert Services for Stations, Protection and Control, and Lines Engineering, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Services”).
SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.
Scope of Services:
SaskPower is seeking up to nine (9) Engineers (“Resources”) in the field of stations, protection and control, and transmission lines, to work with SaskPower engineering to provide the services as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Services”). Proponents may propose any number of Resources, each of whom will be evaluated separately. SaskPower reserves the right to enter into a contract with any number of Proponents, or none at all.
The Engineer shall provide sub-consultant(s) to work as Owner Engineer(s) on concurrent station, P&C, and line projects. The Resource will be working closely with various groups within and external to the company. In addition to project delivery, the Resource will be working in advisory and/or design engineer role as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). This advisory role can include training and guidance to SaskPower staff, as well as providing in-house expertise for project delivery.
