This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Electrical & Mechanical Test Lab - Machining & Fabrication Support Services, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Services”).
SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.
The Technical Services and Research department of SaskPower is responsible to, Asset Management, Planning & Sustainability for evaluating new products, conducting forensic analysis of failed components, dielectric testing and certification of bucket trucks, and performing special studies. In addition, Technical Services and Research provides specialized consulting services to other corporate groups such as Power Production, Safety, and Environment.
Technical Services and Research operates and maintains a High Voltage Laboratory, a High Power Laboratory, a Mechanical Test Laboratory, a Vibration Laboratory and a workshop.
The Technical Services and Research department requires the services of proponent to provide one (1) qualified resource (the “Consultant”) to assist with on-going product evaluations, bucket truck dielectric testing, failure analysis and special studies by providing fabrication and support services.
