This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation ("SaskPower") to prospective proponents to submit proposals in respect of two (2) separate and distinct Sections of Work of the (LY15) provision of the Lloydminster Switching Station to Spruce Lake Substation 138 kV Transmission Line Construction, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the "Work").
Proponents are not required to submit Proposals in relation to each Section of the Work, and may elect to only submit Proposals for the Section(s) of the Work in which the proponent is interested.
SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.
SaskPower is seeking new construction of approximately 80 km of 138 kV transmission line. This new line will consist of direct embed 138kV single circuit structures with single Drake conductor and two (2) 5/16" shield wires. The new line will begin from the Lloydminster Switching Station termination structure, and end at the new Spruce Lake Substation termination structure. The Project consists of three (3) Work Packages, separated into two (2) distinct Sections of Work, Section of Work #1 and Section of Work #2, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A). It is SaskPower’s intention that there will be a separate Agreement for each of Section of Work #1 and Section of Work #2, respectively, and that no proponent will have an Agreement for both Section of Work #1 and Section of Work #2.
