Description

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Beatty 138kV Civil Work, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”).

SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.

The Contractor shall supply all labour, material, equipment, tools and supervision necessary to complete the following Work as specified in this RFP and on the Contract Drawings at the Beatty Switching Station site:

Site Preparation
Screw Pile supply and installation
Grounding Grid installation
Precast cable trench supply

There will be an Optional Site Meeting at the SaskPower Beatty Switching Station on July 19th, 2018 @ 11:00 AM CST.

The Beatty Switching Station is located west of the City of Melfort; approximately 19km west of the junction of SK Highway 3 and SK Highway 41A (Melfort Business Loop) and is on the north side of the Highway 3, accessible by a short grid road. The land location is NW ¼ 31 TWP 45 RGE 20 W2M and is within the RM of Flett’s Springs (#429) (the “Beatty Site”).

PPE required including CSA approved hi-vis clothing, safety glasses, hard hat and safety footwear.

Given the nature of the Work, and the proximity to existing electrical facilities, it is strongly recommended that any potential Respondent attend this optional meeting to gain a complete understanding of the Scope of Work.
